To: Stone Liberal Democrats wishing to join the 49 Club
You have the Chance to Win in Our Weekly Money Draw
Initially the 49 Club was based on the bonus ball in the Saturday LOTTO draw, but now we've changed it to eliminate a roll over. Numbers are drawn from a hat for a weekly winner at each Executive Committee meeting. Winners are immediately issued with a cheque. Members can choose any of the remaining numbers and if your number comes up, the pay out is 50% of the stake. You can subscribe to more than one number if you like.
The 49 Club has proved to be an essential fundraising tool to support the website and constituency campaigning over the past few years. It costs £1 a week per number, paid by quarterly standing order from your bank of £13.
The local party is currently recruiting new members and producing and distributing leaflets across the whole constituency. As a result we are trying to raise funds to cover the costs of these activities.
