Free Saturday parking in Stone until Christmas

Stafford Borough Council has announced that parking on its car parks in Stone will be free of charge every Saturday until Christmas. The news has been greeted with relief by Stone Liberal Democrats. "This is good news for Stone" said Richard Stevens, Chairman.

" We've heard far too much about parking problems in the town recently. Let's set the record straight. No car parks have closed since last Christmas. We still have the same number of parking spaces as last year. The shops are all ready for Christmas and the Christmas lights have been switched on. So let's spread the message. Stone is open for business. Come and see us on Saturday and park for free" said Richard.
