Derek Boult - the new Vice Chair of the LDDA
Derek Boult, a member of the Stone Local Party executive, has today topped the poll in a contested election for the post of Vice Chairman of the Liberal Democrat Disability Association.
"I'm surprised and delighted" said Derek. "I believe that the LDDA has a great deal to do in the immediate future and I'm flattered that the members across the country have expressed their confidence in me in this way. I shall be working hard with Gemma Roulstone, the re-elected Chair, and the rest of the committee over the next twelve months. I've always believed in getting things done rather than just talking about them. I'm eager to get started"
Derek is Vice Chair of the Stafford Access Group and Chairman of Stone Access Group. He has considerable experience of work in the voluntary sector particularly on issues relating to disabilities.
Richard Stevens, Stone Local Party Chairman, was among the first to congratulate Derek. "This is marvellous news. Derek really deserves this endorsement from LDDA's membership. And it's also a feather in the cap of Stone Libdems"
